Remember last year when we introduced you to Sydney Satchell, the inspirational former student-athlete who battled back from an amputation to begin a career in sitting volleyball? Well she’s got some amazing updates in her life and needs your help! Rather than me give you the 4-1-1, I figured I’d let Sydney tell you what’s going on…
Now that you’ve eaten too much turkey, drunk too much beer and watched too much football, we’d like to introduce you to the perfect young lady to get you back on the healthy eating, healthy lifestyle track. Meet our newest Instagram Inspiration, Alexandria Polise, aka Alexandria_Fitness. At 26 years old she finds the time to be a full-time 401K Plan Administrator, a part-time fitness coach and a genuine inspiration for living a healthy life, physically and spiritually. So let’s get to know Alexandria:

The Olympics have come and gone. I must say, aside from Ryan Lochte’s full-on frat bro display of stupidity and utter disrespect, I enjoyed what I saw. I was unquestionably entertained and inspired. I actually think that it’s the inspiration piece that really makes the Olympics so great. Not only are athletes providing entertainment and bragging rights, but they’re using their lives’ work to inspire and teach millions of people. That’s why we wait in anticipation and watch without flinching every four years; we want to be inspired and be taught to be better than we were yesterday. Through the Olympics we learn about true perseverance, love, dedication and talent. We learn just how much each athlete has to give up for the opportunity to represent their country, and we’re inspired to give a little more of ourselves.
On October 23, 1964, at the summer Olympics in Japan, the Japanese women’s volleyball team won the gold medal topping Russia. It was at the 1964 Olympic games that women’s volleyball made its Olympic debut. Women have been spiking their way through the Olympics ever since!
